Thank you for coming to my blog. My name is Marilyn. I am in my mid-twenties and originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania, but I currently live near Seattle, Washington. I have a Bachelor's in English Literature with minors in Writing and Business from a private Catholic university in my hometown. My day job is a technical writer/instructional designer where I create training material and standard documentation.
When I have free time, I love to read and write as much as I can. You'll almost always see me with a book in hand whether I'm in my rocking chair with a cat in my lap or in my hammock at the park or on a plane heading to my next destination. That reminds me! I also like to travel and try new things whenever I have the opportunity. My gamer name is also LiteraryMary because no other name can fit the nerdy bookworm that I am. Although I have been reading as soon as I was able to understand my alphabet, I really found my passion for reading in high school and discovered that I love to recommend books along with discussing them with others. This became the start of An Extremely Avid Reader's Reviews.
